The Day Before We Go Home !

It's winter, y'all.

I know you know this and the people in Ojai, CA don't care that it's almost 90 degrees outside.

We visited the beach in Ventura today and then made our way into Ojai. 

I do this every time we go somewhere: "Oh, I could so live here..."

There are some very interesting folks living in Ventura County ~

A little get-away ~

We are nestled in the mountains of Ventura County in a little town called Santa Paula. It's quaint and lovely, peaceful and lots of greenery!

Our Direct TV Dish comes with us every time, but this time there are so many trees around us, we can't get a signal. No home TV. Boo

Oh, we'll just hook up to the campsites cable TV -

No...that doesn't work either.

Netflix?

Um, you want to be without your computer while we watch a movie? 

Is there music???

Yes! iTunes to the rescue.  We do have that.

It's going to be a very quiet weekend.

Where's that book I've been wanting to read???

It's Been Awhile ~

I'm in the throws of healing my ankle. My heel is taking the longest, seeing how it has had the bone cut into and two screws put in. It feels bruised, but I'm walking...albeit slowly.

Going to Physical Therapy and stretching it out and massaging it best I can. No pictures of any of this. I had my camera in the shop for a time and now that I am 'kinda walking' and have my camera back, lets hope I get back on it.

We did venture to the park today ~

Look at this bee hive!  It was right near where all the children play and I cringed at the thought of a child accidentally hitting it with a ball or something.  It would not be pretty.
